The Board of Directors of Danieli Group has approved the half-year financial statement as of 31 December 2024: net profit exceeding 125 million euros, an increase of 27% compared to the same period last year.

The performance of the two main business areas of the Group showed different trends, with the Steel Making division experiencing a drop in profitability while the Plant Making division observed a significant improvement. The results of the two activities continue to offset each other, following the typical fluctuations of economic cycles, but consistently recording a positive and growing net profit. While the increase in prices and production costs had some negative effects on steel production at Abs, the excellent results of the Plant Making division compensated for Abs’s lower margins.

The semester brought Danieli Group operational revenues of over two billion euros, an EBITDA exceeding 163 million, up two percent compared to the same period the previous year. The gross operating profit came in at 108.5 million euros. The net financial position remains positive (672.9 million euros), in line with the previous period’s closing.

As for Danieli Group’s outlook for next months, the company expects to consolidate current trends with compensation between the results of steel production activities, expected to improve compared to the slowdown in recent months, and plant construction activities, expected to hold steady with good margins. Specifically, the report approved by the Board of Directors states that “it is likely that the next six months will be characterized by the current trend and that the compensation between the results of Steel (expected to improve significantly) and Plant Making activities (holding steady with good margins) will continue”, allowing the Group to “confirm the forecasts for the end of the 2024/2025 fiscal year and to outline those for the end of the following one”.
